      • About BBT

BBT is an online academy that utilizes technology to address some of the chronic issues that’s been hurting the efficiency and effectiveness of education. We deliver effective learning outcomes by (1) drastically reducing the class size, (2) lifting geographical requirements for teachers and students, and (3) increasing flexibility in class schedules.

We believe students can be more engaged in learning when the class size is down to 3-4 students. While the research has single handedly pointed out that the small class size matters in improving educational outcomes, with the traditional brick and mortar model, the cost of keeping small class size was too high. With virtual meetings, the students can learn in an intimate setting with full teachers’ attention and this has been highlighted as the academy's biggest strength.

Not only is the technology effective in keeping the cost down, but is critical in increasing accessibility by lifting the geographic restrictions. Virtual meetings allow students and teachers to connect from virtually anywhere in the world: students have access to qualified teachers from the comfort of their own home and teachers have access to stable jobs without sacrificing their lifestyle. Increased access to education and job opportunities have led to quality and satisfaction, reflected in the high quality education given by BBT.

Finally, flexible work hours don't only apply to the workplace but also to learning space. Students have access to teachers connecting from everywhere in the world so if students learn the best at 6 am in the morning, they can easily connect with teachers halfway across the world at the peak of working hours. This way, learning is never limited.

Technology is revolutionizing the way education is done, and as educators, we continue to look for ways to take advantage and adapt, and address issues that are getting in the way of students and their learning.

        Korean Teacher

"Through the lens of Korean arts and culture, I explore what is most uniquely Korean while also seeking its global resonance. Along this journey, as I network with various countries, I discover hidden potentials in Korea that even I wasn't aware of, and I find comfort and joy in cultures that are unfamiliar to me.

This shows that through language learning, we not only gain new cultural insights but also expand our own worlds. I hope that my class can serve as a similar opportunity for you to expand your perspectives. Let's create a lighthearted and enjoyable experience together!"

"I am deeply in love with my country, its culture, and, of course, tacos! I truly believe that learning a new language is one of the biggest acts of empathy we can do because while doing it we not only learn new vocabulary or grammar but also we open our minds to different ways to understand the world.

Although current challenges are bigger than ever before, we have never had such access to the tools for facing them, so why not doing it from a kind and humane point of view?"
